Certified EFT Practitioner and Counsellor

Meet Trish Roache

“I am motivated by the freedom we experience when the EFT process allows us to feel safe about being with and developing compassion for, parts of ourselves that we have become disconnected from…”

I’m Tricialla Roache – Trish to most people. I have practiced as a Psychologist since 2007, mostly as a school counsellor with teenagers in high schools, and for the last 4 ½ years in a private practice seeing clients from across the life span.

Psychology presented many different skills, tools and modalities to help people. However, it wasn’t until I started using EFT that I witnessed clients being able to so rapidly work through and let go of, difficult emotions and memories, with spontaneous positive changes in unhelpful beliefs.

I also personally experienced a capacity for self-regulation that has made EFT my go to tool for managing and being with whatever life puts before me.

Deciding to study Psychology was the result of a life-long curiosity and passion for personal growth and moving towards potential. Prior to this my husband and I ran a small business for a decade, “Paddy’s Parsley & Produce” which we grew on our small acreage, and before that I had worked for 17 years as a Registered Nurse and Midwife.

I have now stopped working as a psychologist to focus solely on being an EFT practitioner. I am motivated by the freedom we experience when the EFT process allows us to feel safe about being with and developing compassion for, parts of ourselves e.g. certain emotions, memories, beliefs, and body sensations - that we have become disconnected from, sometimes, by denying their existence or unconsciously disowning them.

The more EFT helps us to let go of our resistance and fears about working with these, the more we are empowered to connect with our own wisdom, creativity and capacity to celebrate life. We start living more and more the way we truly want to and become more of what we are really meant to be.

I am confident that practicing Clinical EFT is a gentle and safe way to help us more effectively manage the effects of stress - present and past, traumatic and chronic - in our lives. The less stress held in our bodies, the more we are able to heal and grow in all dimensions: physically, cognitively, emotionally and spiritually.

I am passionate about working with people, knowing, through both research and the experiences of clients, as well as personal experience, that the simple process of tapping, applied with skill, can help to free us from what is unhelpful in our inner worlds.
