How EFT Tapping Works
EFT = Emotional Freedom Techniques, also known as ‘EFT Tapping’.
What is Clinical EFT?
Clinical EFT is an evidence-based stress management tool. It combines gentle tapping on a sequence of acupressure points on the face and body with focused attention on whatever is troubling you.
When you feel anxious or stressed, your body’s threat response stays switched on. Tapping while you tune in to the problem helps to calm that response, so your body and mind get back on the same page. The result is that old stress loses its grip and you can move forward more easily.
What a session looks like
Your practitioner guides you, step by step. You’ll bring a specific issue — a worry, a memory, a craving, a physical sensation — and together you’ll tap through it while staying focused and safe. Sessions are 60–90 minutes, so there’s no need to feel rushed.
What it can help with
- Anxiety and stress
- Negative thought patterns and over-thinking
- Cravings and unwanted habits
